Motel to Home is dedicated to helping working families obtain permanent housing options, improve financial expertise and connect with appropriate resources. Housing Plus Inc. is currently contacting families living in hotels, motels and Airbnb properties throughout the Greater Atlanta Region. By providing move-in cost assistance, our goal is to increase housing stability for Greater Atlanta's children.
A HOME-ARP grant has allowed Housing Plus Inc to continue providing eviction intervention payments for Clayton County residents still facing economic hardship related to the Covid-19 Pandemic.
Housing Plus Inc has established a satellite office in Clayton County to accept applications and coordinate services with area non-profits.
Through a partnership with Atlanta Legal Aid, Housing Plus Inc is providing immediate help for families facing eviction in Gwinnett County. As households are working toward emerging from the financial impact of the Covid-19 Pandemic, many debts remain.
Helping families avoid eviction displacement is not only Doing Good, it is beneficial for our communities.
The Mobile Care Advocate works with families to address past trauma, financial abuse and the impact on current and future economic sustainability. The six month program has been tailored to help transition families from area shelters to permanent housing with increased credit scores, higher income and emergency savings.
Housing Plus, Inc.'s case management division supplies assessment, planning, facilitation, care coordination, evaluation and advocacy for options and services to meet Greater Atlanta household's financial well-being needs. Through collaborative efforts with associated organizations, HPI is able to assist area organizations with housing sustainability goals.
Housing Plus Inc.'s The Plus Team helped connect individuals with income experiencing homelessness to permanent housing immediately. The Plus Team addressed barriers and mediated the landlord-tenant relationship to promote stability for individuals staying on the streets or in shelters. This program concluded at the end of 2022 after averaging 25 placements per month.
Through Housing Plus Inc.'s partnership with the City of Atlanta and United Way of Greater Atlanta, from 2020-2022, we promoted financial and housing stability for households who experienced the significant financial impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Our efforts yielded approximately 4.5 million dollars of rental assistance for the City of Atlanta residents.
